In light of the formal apology from NSW Premier Chris Minns to people convicted under old laws that criminalised homosexual acts, it's clear that our community is entering a new chapter in NSW's history.

But NSW is still falling behind the rest of the country when it comes to LGBTIQ+ equality.

The Equality Bill will fix this.

• Allowing trans and gender diverse people to update their ID without the need for surgery.
  
  
• Protecting LGBTQ+ students and staff from discrimination in private schools.
  
  
• Legally recognise children in rainbow families.
