NSW LGBTIQA+ Equality Bill One-Page Explainer

In August 2023 the LGBTIQA+ Equality Bill was introduced into NSW Parliament by Independent MP Alex Greenwich. After Equality Australia conducted a rigorous audit that found more than 500 laws that disadvantaged or discriminated against the LGBTIQA+ community.

This bill would make NSW a better place for us, from recognising rainbow families, protecting us from discrimination at school and in the workplace and securing government IDs that reflect who we are.
