Domestic and Family Violence Inquiry Submission

Everyone deserves to feel safe at home. 

The submission calls upon decision makers to recognise and respond to LGBTIQ+ people’s experience of domestic and family violence.  This includes same- and multigender-attracted and/or trans and intersex women’s experience of domestic and family violence, as well as same- and multigender-attracted men’s and/or trans and intersex men’s, and gender diverse and intersex people’s, experience of domestic and family violence. 

LGBTIQ+ people experience high rates of domestic and family violence, and yet struggle to access recognition or appropriate support in the current system.
