REINSTATE CARE FOR TRANS YOUNG PEOPLE

The Queensland Government has taken the extraordinary step of banning healthcare for trans young people – AGAIN.  

A Supreme Court Justice ruled the ban was unlawful and should be set aside, upholding the legal challenge of a brave mum fighting for her child’s right to access care.  

Yet within six hours, the government issued a new ministerial direction to reinstate the ban on puberty blockers and hormone treatments, which was first declared in January this year.  

Help us show that it’s not in the public interest for any government to interfere in healthcare decisions that should be left to young people, their families and medical professionals.
