Is my donation tax-deductible? 
Yes. Equality Australia is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), and all donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible in Australia. 

How do I receive my tax receipt? 
A tax receipt will be emailed to you from philanthropy@equalityaustralia.org.au. shortly after your donation is processed. If you need a copy of a tax receipt, please email our team. 

Can I set up a monthly recurring donation? 
Yes. Regular giving is one of the most effective ways to create lasting impact. By joining our community of regular donors, you can help ensure we can respond quickly when rights are under threat and keep pushing for a fairer future for LGBTIQ+ people. 

Can I cancel monthly donations? 
Of course. You can cancel, pause or adjust your monthly donation at any time via the link included in your Welcome Email or Donation Receipt. If you can’t find it, contact our team at philanthropy@equalityaustralia.org.au and we’ll be happy to assist. 

Can I EFT instead of paying by credit or debit card? 
Yes. You can make your donation via bank transfer. Please use your name as the reference and contact our team at philanthropy@equalityaustralia.org.au or on (02) 7208 7922 so we can confirm your donation and issue you a tax receipt.

How does my donation show up on my statement? 
Your donation will appear on your credit or debit card statement as “EQUALITYAU” or your bank statement as “EQUALITY AUSTRALIA LTD”. If you have any trouble identifying the transaction, please contact our team at philanthropy@equalityaustralia.org.au and we’ll be happy to assist.

Yes. Equality Australia is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). 

Is Equality Australia independent? 
Yes. We do not receive funding from political parties and remain non-partisan in our work. 

Where does Equality Australia get its funding from?
